Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American stage actress and producer, has been known for her roles in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She received the B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in the fields of theater, film and television. She began her career acting in the theatre and then went on to make appearances in numerous TV shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. Then, she made appearances on BET's acclaimed TV series The Book of Negroes. She started her career as an actor in the year 1995 as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. The credits on stage are Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner. In the film industry her most well-known roles are roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. She is also well-known for her character on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
